USER-CHI at MOVIELÉCTRICA 2021

Last month took place in Murcia (Spain) one of the largest outdoor e-mobility trade show in Europe, MOVIELÉCTRICA 2021. The event brought together a number of high-level representatives from the e-mobility industry, a considerable amount of city officials and visitors from different parts of Spain.  

The event, organized by CITIES FORUM partner of the USER CHI project, was the perfect opportunity to showcase the progress made in the project so far and explain how the city of Murcia is going to take advantage of the innovative products that are being developed within USER CHI (CLICK, INSOC, SMAC etc.) and the experience of other partners cities like Berlin, Rome, Turku or Budapest.

Maria Cruz Ferreira, managing director of ALEM, the local energy and climate change agency of the city of Murcia was in charge of presenting the USER CHI project in front of an audience of e-mobility managers and several councillors for sustainable urban mobility coming from different size cities to the event.

MOVIELÉCTRICA gathered not only major automotive brands and electric vehicle manufacturers but also representatives of the entire e-mobility ecosystem, such as charging point fabricators and operators, power companies among many others. MOVIELÉCTRICA was a new concept of trade show and exhibition where the visitors could discover the benefits of the electric vehicle and enjoy riding some of the electric models brought by the local car dealerships.

During the Saturday 2 October MOVIELÉCTRICA received more than 7000 visitors who had the opportunity to interact with above 65 exhibiting companies, including e-bikes and e-scooters shops, share mobility multinational companies and start ups offering smart electric fleet management services for example.

MOVIELECTRICA will also be held in 2022 in Murcia with the aim of keep on informing and disseminating about emobility and the need to speed up the decarbonization of our cities to guarantee a more sustainable and green future for all.
